I had my appendix removed a week ago. It was meant to be just keyhole, but it was a bit more complicated than expected, so it ended up as open surgery. I was only in hospital 1 night, and have been home now for 7 days. The pain where they did the main cut doesn't seem to be getting any better. I am taking all the prescribed painkillers, and I've had the wounds checked and there is no infection. Does anyone have any experience of when the pain might ease? I don't remember it being this bad after my cesarean, and that would have been a bigger cut. It just hurts to do anything, and I'm getting fed up of being stuck doing nothing.
