My kids are constantly falling ill and I'm tired of spending tones on branded products... Could any of you suggest own brand products that are good on price? Looking for painkillers, plasters, vitamins. Any suggestions would be great. What do you guys buy/where?

A painkiller is a painkiller. There is no point in spending for branded paracetamol when you can pick up a cheap pack in Lidl or if they are still needing liquid, unbranded supermarket own will be exactly the same as Calpol.

Same for ibuprofen, anti-histamines everything. They have to be the same by law or they can't be sold.

Lidl kids plasters with the cartoon pictures are a bit rubbish, other than that its all the same stuff.

Painkillers are the same because the ingredients are the same so own brand versions perfectly fine. Plasters however I literally never go cheap on, the difference in quality is noticeable.

I never go own brand on plasters except for Boots own brand hydrocolloid plasters. However these are not cheap but they are excellent for open wounds that you don't want getting infected.
