I have IBS which is usually managed with prescription medication. One of the drugs, Alverine Citrate (Spasmonal) is currently on manufacturer delay, and my last prescription is still owed. I’ve been buying Buscopan over the counter, but last night/today have had the worst flare-up I’ve had in over a decade. Thankfully I am on holiday and don’t have to worry about work, but I have had to cancel my plans for lunch with a friend as I am too scared to leave the house, and feel really sorry for myself!
Has anyone been on this medication, and found a suitable alternative? I went through loads before I found one that worked, and had months of tests at the hospital when it was first diagnosed.
