Could this be perimenopause?

I've had a set of symptoms develop slowly over the past 6 months or so. I've started getting PMT (tired, irritable, anxious) which I've never had before. I've started getting occasional anxiety which makes me want to hide in bed/not see people and I've started having periods of real exhaustion like someone has turned off a switch. I had to leave work today and went home and slept for 2 hours - and I'm someone who can never nap. I've also been getting very bad headaches at the same time as being tired. At the moment it's not that regular, maybe twice a month.

I've decided to see the doc and got a GP appointment next week so they can do some blood tests but I was wondering if any of you had the same set of symptoms and what it was.

Google chucks up all sorts but one which seems to fit is perimenopause. I'm 40 so not that old. I've got (mainly symptomless) endometriosis - not sure if that would factor in anyway.

Best to check with your GP but I had thses symptoms from 37 and they are definitely hormonal.
