What could this pain be?

Last week I had a strange and sudden stabbing pain in my lower stomach, left hand side, quite severe but not unbearably so, it disappeared and I thought nothing more of it.

Over the past couple of days however I have had the same pain, not as severe, but more persistent. Like a deep stabbing pain, not terribly painful, just niggly and doesn't really go away.

I'm 52, and have been through the menopause though a couple of weeks I did have period like bleeding, no pain then though.

Could they be connected, and should I see my GP about it?

Yes, go to your GP

Thanks Ohyesiam

I'll go and get it checked out, probably nothing, but best to get it looked at
