Has anyone else done this or know anyone who does?

I have been doing it for around ten years now. It is nearly every night but recently it seems the amount I'm eating is much more. I have been to the Dr's and also had hypnotherapy but I've just been told it is stress related. I'm not sure I've been that stressed everyday for the last ten years!

Usually I have no memory of it, or when I rarely do it's a bit like a dream.

Does your weight suffer as a result of this? Have you weight issues in general? Have you had counselling?

Hypnotherapy is good for some things, but this is something that needs to be brought out into your awareness more by exploring it with someone.
It can be stress. Teens with eating disorders say 'I don't have anxiety I just don't want to be fat'. They feel perfectly calm and in control - very much so in fact. But the need for control reeks it's havoc elsewhere because it's all suppressed from the conscious experience.

I do find I have to be careful with what I eat but nothing extreme, just general healthy eating, and my diet is varied.

Wouldn't say weight is an issue, I've just checked my BMI for context and it's in the 'healthy' range.
