What does this mean? (Test results)

I just had a phone call from the Dr's receptionist who said they needed to do a repeat blood test in one month. I asked which one and she said 'the bone one'. She said it might be the one they do with the the vitamin D test but that hasn't come back yet. What is she on about? Can anyone help? Worrying now!

Maybe there wasn’t enough blood to do the test, maybe the sample wasn’t good enough to go the test, maybe it’s not come back so they might not have asked for it be mistake, maybe they want to see if it falls or rises within the month, loads and loads of simple reasons.
Poor that they couldn’t tell you though as you do worry naturally don’t you.

I had blood tests taken last year and was given the results except for Vitamin D which they said takes longer to come back. However I had to go back as the nurse hadn't taken enough blood to test other things doctor had requested (B12 and folate). Maybe it"s similar in your case - nurse not taking enough blood?

Possibly, I think it's more likely to be a borderline result what with them specifically saying repeat in a month though. I just wasn't even aware they were doing a bone one.
