I went to see GP about ankle/feet swelling and puffy face. She sent me for an ECG and did multiple blood tests . All normal results . Even though the thyroid was "normal ", could this still affect face appearance ? I am 47 and perimenopausal

Hello 1shotcappuccino

Have you been tested for Cushings syndrome? I know that can cause swelling of the face...

I was puffy, putting weight on all over, I noticed it in my face and ankles, plus my clothes were really tight. Ended up in A&E with really bad stomach pains, and my bloods were clear. It wasn’t until I had a scan that I was diagnosed with a dermoid ovarian cyst, which had grown very large and twisted. I had it removed about 6 weeks ago and I’m noticibly slimmer all over, not just my stomach area. Google the symptoms and see if you have any more of them. I’m just 48, and perimenopausal as well.
