A piece of rotten wood went into his finger, and he left it a week before having it seen to, which resulted in him being admitted into hospital for an operation under general anesthetic, and now he is on all this medication for a week, so he cant work, it seems extreme, I feel like I am overdosing him.

is he diabetic?

expatinscotland · 11/07/2007 10:09

damn.

No it makes sense, septicemia is deadly and has to be taken very seriously, people die of ignoring a bit of wood in their finger.

totaleclipse · 11/07/2007 10:11

It was badly infected, I suppose septicemia was about to set in, plus he was years over due his tetanus.

poor dh, look after him

fingers are a bit weird, hard to shift infections once they set in. dh had a red line from his hand up to his armpit when he cut his finger once.
