What to get for someone starting chemo/radiotherapy

My lovely MIL is due to start Chemo and radiotherapy treatment this coming week. She is already poorly and not eating and i know this may be worse during her treatment. I wanted to get her a few bits together in a bag she can have during her treatment. Any tips for what to include? I was thinking lip balm, soft sweets/mints, magazines....
Anyone found anything useful or nice?

A nice Soft blanket, maybe a hot water bottle or a cool pack, something positive to read... I think that you're doing a lovely thing.

When my Aunt was undergoing treatment I got her some nice bed socks (as her feet got cold), nice hand cream (unperfumed as the treatment made her sensitive to smell) and a weekly magazine subscription for the year so she always had something to read during treatment.

I got my husband a load of graze boxes. So when he did feel like eating he had a variety of things to choose from.

Also the l'occitaine 20% shea unscented hand cream as his skin became dry and he struggled with strong smells.
