My sodding cold is lasting forever

I have a 6 week old baby and had a cold for 2 weeks of it. I know it's taking ages to go because I'm tired but it's just pissing me off now. I have to try and strategically cough so I don't wake my baby up!!

I just felt like a moan!

I have had a cough and cold since January! My daughter and my granddaughter (15 months) live with me so I’m also strategically having coughing fits into my pillow at night because they are so bad that I’ve woken the little one before.
Sigh

I could have written this post! Ever since having kids, every single time they get a cold.. I get one too. This one just will not go away, I'm sick of not being able to breathe or taste anything!! And the sinus pain is driving me insane!

You have my full sympathy, OP!

My OH gave me a night off from feeds and I had the most amazing sleep and my cold seemed better. The following night was horrendous and baby woke up every 2 hours - the cough and sniffle returned!

It's so frustrating!!

It's a never ending cycle. I pray we all get better.. somehow!
