Burning pain

Just wondering if anyone can advise, woke up this morning with a burning sensation on the right side of my abdomen about 3 inches from my belly button.
It has gradually got worse throughout the day especially when standing up or bending down but is constantly burning.
It seems to be where a cluster of stretch marks are and feels on the skin rather than internal.
So really I'm asking does anyone get burning pain on their stretch marks?

Phone 111 and see if you need to urgently see a doctor or go to A and E.

I would be worried if it is getting worse. Please get it checked out.

I am not a doctor.

Any serious pain I would get medically checked out.

Even if it is just on the skin and not inside?

Shingles maybe?

(I don't know where shingles would crop up though admittedly) this isn't something I would rush to a&e for.

Shingles.

moreismore · 16/03/2019 19:05

I would guess shingles-is it just on one side of your tummy?

moreismore · 16/03/2019 19:06

If it is you will most likely have redness and rash there tomorrow.

Are you sure it's not internal? Just wondering about appendicitis due to the location. Phone 111.

Cherylshaw · 16/03/2019 19:24

My mum thought appendicitis too but it does just feel like my skin, when I put my jeans on to go to the shop it was 100x worse and alot of the time I had to hold the ages to stop the stinging, there are no red marks or rash just now and I am totally well otherwise

No it's just a patch about the size of a playing card that's painfully, no where else that's why i was thinking it was my stretch marks
