Unexplained abdominal pain

I am at a loss to know what this is.

Left lower ab pain that is sometimes as low as my groin but sometimes feel under ribs. Had loads of blood tests and all ok. Includes CA 125 test, liver function etc. Pelvic scan, upper ab scan and sigmoidoscopy. All fine.

I’m Coeliac so used to tummy pain but this has gone on for ages! BM is fine and regular. Don’t think it’s IBS as it is pretty much constant. But low level.

It’s coming up to a year since I noticed it. Any ideas????? Muscular maybe? I do have a sore hip.

Caveat: I am not an HCP and I've had no medical training.

Are you sure it's not your appendix? That often presents on the left, rather than right side, can grumble on for ages ie years and then go again for months at a time.

A good way to check is to get some to press on your lower abdomen not too hard, the pain should be worse when the person lets go, rather than when they release.

It should go without saying but if appendix is a possibility if you have a fever with related pain seek medical advice immediately, no matter what time of day or night.

Refractory Coeliac?

Be mindful of your (Coeliac related) increased risk of bowel cancer, too. Just in terms of getting it ruled firmly out.

Thanks for response.

Well the sigmoidoscopy was to rule out bowel problems and tbh I have no problems with BM at all.

It just this achy low grade pain. Will mention to my doc on my next yearly check up for Coeliacs but I have no weight loss or Anaemia etc which are the usual symptoms. I have no fever.

It’s a mystery. Am starting to wonder if it’s a muscle thing. Though has gone on a long time for such an ailment.
