DS has huge bump on head - how long might it last?

Talk about perfect timing - DS1 (3years) has banged his head and has a classic great big egg of a bruise on the front of his forehead.

Would not normally worry but I was going to take passport photos this afternoon

Any ideas how long it might take to go down to a point where it's reasonable to photograph?

He's fine in himself, charging around the garden.

You should have rubbed some onion into it as soon as it happened! not sure if it will work now. but maybe worth a try.

as soon as dd have bump i cut onion in half, score it a bit, squeeze adn use the onion juice on the bump, hey presto, no bump and usua;l no bruising its a miracle.. (or onion has natural anti colagulents (sp) in it!!)
