Hi everyone, Ive been having a lot of problems for the past year which have (apologise in advance) lots of watery discharge, then intermittent bleeding to heavy bleeding after sex, to be told I have a vaginal polyp, I have then had 3!!! Surgeries to remove this so called polyp which keeps returning to today be told that it’s it’s not a polyp it’s due to my body rejecting the mesh implant and is now protruding my vaginal wall causing a mass to keep growing. This mesh is well known to have been very controversial, at the time of my surgery I had no idea about this.... I have been in tears today as it's impacted my life so negatively. My sex life is non existent, I wear pads constantly and past year suffered pain every single day. Has anyone out there experienced similar or could just give me some advice? My doctor at hospital today said nothing can be done, and ushered me out like she was bored. I’m 44 and my kids are older, I should be enjoying this chapter but I feel horrible about myself right now

I'm really sorry to hear this. Your doctor's attitude is appalling. I have had prolapse surgery but not with mesh. I do know there are Consultants who do mesh removal surgery (my Consultant does).
You can't just be left to suffer like this. If you search for the Association for Pelvic Organ Prolapse Support Group on Facebook (closed group) there are lots of ladies on there with experience of mesh who would be able to advise you how to go forward. I believe there is also a group for women suffering as a result of mesh surgery (someone on the other group will know the name). All the best getting this sorted out.
