Teen anxiety pre-menstrually

Does anyone else have a daughter who suffers from extreme anxiety pre-menstrually? She gets into panics, can't sleep at night for worrying, and has sweaty palms and bad indecision. She's not like this the other 3 weeks of the month thankfully, but it's bad on that 1 PMT week. The GP has offered the pill, but she's only just 15. Anyone have any tips? Alternative approaches? Similar experiences? Advice very welcome.

It sounds like she has severe hormonal fluctuations. Why won't you let her take the pill? The poor girl is suffering. I started having horrible anxiety due to peri -menopause and hormone therapy changed my life.

Hi, Yes she is.

I will let her take the pill if she wants to. She doesn’t currently want too, but it may come to that. We are looking into any alternatives right now.

I’m glad HRT has helped you. It has helped me too. Maybe the pill is the answer - anyone else has experience here?
