Homeopathy the not just a sugar pill

I read a thread here about homeopathy being a sugar pill, a placebo, as waste of time.
Its actually excellent for all childhood illnesses, adult illnesses, better if we just treat our acute ailments with this and leave the chronic ailments to the experts ie the homeopathic practioners.
Its not Mickey Mouse or Disney, its real and it works.
It was started a long time ago, by Samuel Hahnemann, 1755 - 1843, Founder of Homeopathy.
A doctor, did you know he cured an epidemic of cholera with this sugar pill?
Any way, I just wanted to give you the basics, and encourage parents the world over to go out and do some reading and meet some homeopathic practitioners that change your view on the sugar pill.
Let me introduce you to Joette Calbrese and Mary Aspinall, two ladies who are great advocates of homeopathy.
See what you can discover for yourselves about sugar pills and watch how it can change your baby, child, and your other half or yourself into a different person, free from side effects and safe for all.
I urge you to buy the pilules rather than make it yourself, homeoforce in Jersey is excellent, but Holland and Barrett and Boots sell some homeopathy.
Don't throw the baby out with the bath water, think outside the box, you will be amazed that you did.
Happy hunting, happy healing.
Did you know homeopathy can help your pregnancy, go and look up the ladies I mentioned above.
I can tell you now from experience, suffering from Sinusitis is no joke, but my goodness since I discovered homeopathy and did a little studying I don't suffer half as bad as I did.

I apologise if I don't get back very often to here your replies, positive I hope, I am a full time carer, a retired nurse and a part time gardener,
Best regards Andrea

The only possible effect is the placebo effect, and any positive effect from patients being listened to sympathetically.

Other than that it is a scam. I despise people who prey on ill and worried people, making money out of something

AssassinatedBeauty · 07/03/2019 19:48

..., out of something that can never work.

I'm going to cure AIDS, sepsis and necrotising fasciitis with homeopathy.

Oh no, wait Angry

Lulapointless · 07/03/2019 19:51

I'll read this later while I relax with a large glass of homeopathic wine.

Ginnymweasley · 07/03/2019 19:51

That's nice. I think it's a crock of shite but you do you!

SneakyGremlins · 07/03/2019 19:51

Surely you don't need to be a full time carer if homeopathy is so great?

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 07/03/2019 19:53

I'll stick with actual medicine, thanks all the same.

CherryPavlova · 07/03/2019 19:54

Don’t be silly.

I thought the concept of homeopathy was to throw the baby out and KEEP the bathwater, and then dilute the bathwater to such an extent that your magical bathwater treatment contains almost no bathwater at all, let alone baby.

SileneOliveira · 07/03/2019 19:55

Too long didn't watch - James Randi proves it's all shite.

TheFloofyOne · 07/03/2019 19:57

I really wish people would educate themselves

The Michell and Webb Homeopathy A&E sketch is always worth watching.

AlexaAmbidextra · 08/03/2019 01:17

Well thank you for the lesson Andrea but it’s all bollocks.

Rumbletum2 · 08/03/2019 01:25

Yeah. No. It’s bullshit.

Grin That's the funniest description of homeopathy I've ever heard, and accurate too!
Lol

MrsTerryPratcett · 08/03/2019 01:32

I was told an apocryphal story once about a cholera epidemic in Germany. A man fell drunk into a cart of dead bodies, crawled out and didn't get cholera. He said "yodel dee yodel dah, schnapps is good for cholera". Anecdata about homeopathy is about as good for cholera.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 08/03/2019 01:52

Hang on, let me get the research that proves that it works........................................................no it's here somewhere, talk amongst yourselves...........

Oh, that's a brilliant description!

Actually, I do think it works, but it works because of the placebo effect, because patients are listened to sympathetically, as a pp said, and because some complaints will just get better on their own - that's why it sometimes works for animals.

Unguent · 08/03/2019 02:45

A retired nurse? And did you push the little sugar pills on your patients during your hospital days? Hmm
