Swollen lymph nodes EVERYWHERE

Bella2828 · 06/03/2019 21:21

I noticed a hard lump on my left breast and a few days later that the lymph nodes under my left arm are swollen. A few days later I started to get a dull ache across my collarbone. Upon inspection I have a swollen lymph node there too. Tonight when my dog jumped up, her paw pressed on my groin which was painful, so I went to touch and have now noticed a swollen lymph node there too. All of these swollen nodes are on my left side (not sure of this is relevant). I am currently abroad so don't really want to visit a Dr here but obviously will if needed. Is this normal? I've had a swollen node in my throat when I've had strep but never this extreme with no apparent illness. Can anyone chime in with some similar stories/advise?

You need to see a doctor ASAP if you’ve found a breast lump and swollen lymph nodes. I don’t want to scare you but there is a chance this could be breast cancer.

Definitely see a doctor asap.
Have you got insurance cover?

I have had them for years in my arm pits, groin and neck. They do come and go and get bigger/smaller. Very rarely painful though and only ever had breast ones when pregnant.

You really must see a Dr ASAP. With a combination of a breast lump & swollen lymph nodes you need to rule out anything serious.

I had swollen glands and lymph nodes all over my body when I had glandular fever. Armpits, groin, everywhere.

A trip to the doctor is needed.

Breast Cancer or something sinister was my first thought especially after doing some Google searches Shock my plan was to wait until I return to London, however this won't be for a few weeks. I do have travel insurance but not sure how great it is- guess I will find out! Thanks everyone for your advice, I will head to a Dr tomorrow.

Glad you’ve decided that Bella! It’s most likely not cancer at all, but time is of the essence to rule it out, sooner the better. Good luck!

Don't panic. I agree you need to get it checked out but a similar thing happened to me a while ago and it turned out to be nothing at all. Once I'd found one I kept discovering more - it was very worrying.
