Blood pressure

This may be silly but hoping someone can explain this to me.
Currently 23 weeks pregnant.

Had blood pressure taken twice recently.
First was 108/62
Second was 97/69

Can someone explain what this means? Is my blood pressure high or low?

It sounds v healthy! NHS guidelines indicate an ideal BP range between 90/60 to 120/80.

Arnoldthecat · 06/03/2019 20:51

Low. Typical BP would be around 120/80 or thereabouts,,resting. Are you ultra fit? these are quite low..

Jellybean100 · 06/03/2019 20:53

They are fine. A diastolic of 80 as suggested as “normal” above is actually on the high(ish) range for pregnancy.

@arnoldthecat I have kept up exercise throughout pregnancy so far but I am in no means superfit nor was I super slim when I fell pregnant.

Thanks for the replies. I have no idea about blood pressure and didn't understand the numbers. Even googling left me confused

They are fine but low. Pg did that to me too. Drs were pleased but at 90/50 I felt like shit. Make sure you drink enough.
