Really itchy bottom (Tmi warning)

I've had this for quite a while now and regularly wake to find I've really scratched it in the night. The itch is right up inside (sorry) and this morning it's really sore and tender and kind of'wet' down there. My actual anuds also feels swollen, probably from scratching. I've been checking when I've been to the toilet and on the toilet paper and there's no bleeding or any sign of worms, which I do recall having had before. I feel constantly aware of it iyswim and am having to be careful about how I sit down. Any ideas? Can I out sudocrem or antiseptic there do you think?

I wouldn't use anything like Sudocrem internally. You're going to have to see your GP and get a proper examination

Take some Ovex to be on the safe side.

My advice would be to get some Anusol with hydrocortisone and try not to scratch. Preparation H witch hazel wipes are very soothing also.

I’d try treatment for worms, just incase. Buy it over the counter. If it doesn’t help, go to gp.

But yes, also get it checked out just in case. It's probably piles though, very common.

Bluesheep8 · 04/03/2019 06:17

No I didn't mean to use it internally, just around the actual bottom where it's sore from scratching. Thanks for the prompt replies!

Treat for worms.

If that doesn’t work try a low sugar diet and good probiotic.

Bluesheep8 · 04/03/2019 06:36

Can piles just appear out of nowhere though? I thought that was from really straining to go to the toilet?

Have googled anusol cream as mentioned by a pp. That sounds like it will help so going to try that. It doesn't itch during the day but I am obviously scratching it when I'm asleep.

Definetly sounds like threadworms. They get worse at night. I would try a treatment as that sounds miserable

Could be thrush ?
