Sacral Dimple - Coccyx pain

Since having my children some years ago I have suffered with pain in the lower lumbar area, sacral area and coccyx.

I was reading some stuff yesterday and now worried there’s more to it.

I have enclosed a picture which is obviously from “that area”. I will book a GP appointment but wondered if anyone has experience of this.

The picture shows the indent and what looks like a scar (as the skin is lighter), but it isn’t.

That’s interesting. When I had my babies, the midwives and doctors did a baby check at birth and they told me they looked for a sacral dimple to check for things like spina bifida. I’m not saying that to scare you, I’m sure that would have been picked up by now and perhaps it’s just one of those benign things but did anyone mention it to your parents when you were a baby/child?

Nobody has mentioned anything to me about problems as a child. I’ve never had any operations or been to hospital, other than to have my children. I am 35 now :)
