Inflammed cervix - anyone?

I had a smear test and the nurse said afterwards that my cervix was inflamed and I may bleed a little after. Nurse didn't sound worried and I got myself dressed and left without asking any questions.

Good old google has now started to slightly panic me, has anyone ever had an inflamed cervix and it was nothing?

I have had a long standing UTI but other than that everything else down there is okay.

Hi OP, I had some mid cycle bleeding for a few months and when I went to the GP she said my cervix was red /inflamed and referred me to the 2 week cancer thingy. It was completely fine. No HPV thank goodness, nothing dodgy. I think it can be hormonal or just nothing at all. Dr Google would not have been my friend if I'd looked it up I suspect....

Have you been pregnant? I had this for a while post-partum.

Last time I was pregnant was 19 years ago! So don't think it could be that.
