How do I get antibiotics changed?

I got given a weeks worth of Clarithromycin on Tuesday for sinusitis and bronchitis, my stomachs been unsettled since my sickness started last Friday but today it’s just horrific. I am passing what I can only describe as liquid acid. It is horrific.

Do I need to make a GP apt (near impossible) to change the antibiotics? Or can this be done at the desk or even a pharmacist? Not sure why I got given that in the first place as I’m fine with penicillin. Thanks in advance

Can you phone the gp and ask the receptionist if the gp will write you a new prescription without seeing you again?

You need to go back to the Dr. You would need a new prescription, there is nothing the pharmacist can do.
Clarithromycin is used to treat chest infections so that’s probably why your GP prescribed it.
Maybe try a probiotic for your upset stomach.

Yes you need to go back to your doctor. Explain to the receptionist and hopefully you will get a telephone appointment to discuss.
If the worse comes to the worse and you can't get through , try 111 but they may give you the same advice ie call yr own doctor.
