Does anyone else have reactions like these?

Every single time I have a blood test and they tape me up afterwards my arm is red raw and extremely painful to touch whenever I take the dressing off.

It's really sore and stingy, is there anything I can put on it to make it less tender?

Looks like you might be allergic to the tape, you need to mention it next time so they can use something different.
In the meantime take an anti histamine (as long as not on other meds, just ask a pharmacist if you are)
Hydrocortisone cream/eurax or aloe Vera should be helpful too.

I give blood and they bandage me after as I get a similar reaction to the tape. For blood tests I request no plaster and that’s never been a problem at our practice Smile

The dark marks suggest the plaster was on too long.

Next time (if there is one!) try removing the plaster after 15 mins.

How long did u have it on for?

I'd say you're allergic to the adhesive on the tape. Antihistamine cream should help.

My daughter’s skin goes like this when she has had a plaster on. Can you ask for a hypoallergenic one?
