Lump in nose

I've had sinus issues on and off for the last few years. Got a bit worse last autumn, and been getting a lot more post nasal drip which is interfering with sleep and I go through stages where I'm constantly swallowing because of it.

Went to doctor last month and got Flixonase nasule drops for nose. Tried them for a week with no issues then got a couple of nose bleeds and stopped using them for a while then tried them for a little longer before giving up. They were a hassle anyway, having to hang upside down to administer the drops.

About a week after stopping the drops I discovered a lump in my nose. It's on the end of my nose where the cartilage is. You can't really see it looking at me and it was probably because I've been poking around at my nose due to the sinus issues that I found it. It feels like a solid kind of nodule under the skin. The skin has now gone a bit red, like there's some burst blood vessels and it has been tingling a bit.

I should go to the doctor but I am going away on holiday coming up in less than 2 weeks time. So I'm thinking maybe I should get that over with first.

Any ideas? I'm also getting deja vu here, like maybe this happened before years ago, maybe when I was a teenager? It's a bit weird.

Definitely get it checked out at the doctors. Hopefully it's nothing but it'll put your mind at ease and means you can enjoy your holiday without worrying!

Hey OP, I had the same - mine was a polyp and I had it removed by a surgeon, it was fine. You need to get referred to ENT specialist

I'd wondered about polyps. I saw a different GP a while back and got him to have a look but he couldn't see anything. I always thought polyps were right deep in the nostril? And the removal videos I've seen online are impressive - the things are huge! This is at the front of the nose and I can't feel anything when I rummage around (tmi) via the nostril although the skin in there feels a bit rough and tender. I wondered if it might be a cyst or something. It's round and about the size of a pea.
