Numerous lumps found in both breasts :(

Hi,

Well I am completely panicking, I have found at least 4 lumps in each breast, they are round, kind of soft and slightly moveable. I have been to the GP who has referred me straight to the breast screening clinic, I am driving myself mad googling if the lumps could be the big C :( I should add that I had a baby 7 weeks ago and am not BF anymore.

I would like to hear from anyone who has had anything similiar and also any experience of anyone who has been to the 'one stop' breast screening clinic.

Thanks in advance Sad

I had exactly this when my DD was a few months old and I was sent to the breast clinic. Turned out to be gristle like tissue in both breasts, my DD is now 3 and I have no lumps at all.

Thanks so much for your reply, it's made me feel so much better whilst I wait for the app Smile

I’ve got a lumpy boob, had a scan at breast clinic and it was clear. The panic was horrible but got some reassurance on here that most breast clinic referrals do not result in a cancer diagnosis.
Fingers crossed for you OP

Hiya I had the same thing before I had my baby. And it was hormonal cysts. Had them scanned and then drained and that was it. Congrats on the little one 🙂

If it’s in both breasts thatsuggests it’s more likely to do with recent birth/hormonal issues than cancer at first instance. What matters most is that you have found them and are getting checked out. Try not to worry in the meantime. We all tend to focus on worst case scenarios but they are usually the least likely outcomes.

Hi OP, the one and only time I ever had a lump in the breast area was after stopping breastfeeding, was a blocked duct.

As a PP said it's very unlikely to be anything sinister but fingers crossed for you anyway, Thanks.

Thanks everyone, it's so hard not to dive head first into the worst case scenario but I'm going to try and stop overthinking it!
