What's going on in my middle section ?!

Last night I had a strange sensation in my left side - front and back. It was like a grumbling, rumbling sensation which I can only describe as similar to when you first feel your baby move inside you during pregnancy! My partner could feel it in my back too so it was quite strong.

This morning I've woken up and I'm intermittently getting a very tight feeling in my right hand side (the opposite side to last night). It's in the front and makes me physically double over. Feels like someone's tied a band from my rib to my hip and it's too tight and painful to stand up straight. Then the feeling disappears and I'm fine until it returns!

Any ideas?!

Are you in labour??? 😂

I've got a coil so I really hope not 😂 as lovely as it would be to have an excuse for getting fat!

It's like someone has looped a lace from my ribcage to my pelvis on my right hand side and it's being pulled too tight for me to stand up straight!

Your stomach is there to the left under the ribs and you can feel things at the back as well. Did you have a big or unusual meal last night, or eat a lot of meat?

Have you had previous abdominal surgery? If so, it could be adhesions.

Could you be pregnant? Conceiving with a coil in situ puts you at increased risk for an ectopic pregnancy

Wind?

Hernia, diverticular, wind, constipation
