What's wrong with my toe!?

My big toe joint is very painful it just started randomly in the night, even the weight of the duvet on it was hurting. It hurts to touch or walk. I haven't hurt it and it looks normal, not red or swollen or anything.

What is wrong with my toe??

Usually with gout there would be redness and swelling...

How old are you?

Are there any lumps, bumps or swellings?

Any redness?

Does sound like gout tbh.

Ingrowing toe nail. I had one and it was agony to walk until I had it shaved to release it by podiatrist.

It’s a myth that older unhealthy people are the only ones to get gout. It definitely sounds like gout, I had it in my hand when I was about 34, it was the most pain I have ever experienced. Gout is a build up of uric acid and apparently tomatoes can be a cause

My (healthy, mid 30s) DH had this and it was gout. The Dr prescribed naproxen which sorted it out quickly. Maybe try some Feminax??
