I spoke to someone I am close to this week on the phone and they told me that they had had pain in left chest and strange achy feeling in left arm and tingling hand for about 30 minutes last week, but that it had gone away and they had been ok since and so weren't worried. I don't know anything about heart health but feel worried, and just wondered if anyone could give me more info about this? They are around 45, and they had flu, and had been up looking after ill children for a couple of nights and they said they just thought it was muscular and to do with the flu. My reaction was that they should have an ECG just in case and I imagine that would be most people's reaction but if anyone has more knowledge or experience than me I would be grateful for their views.

periocarditis, maybe
Not sure what you're asking.
If it was me I would assume it went away by itself & not worry.
I'm satisfied with my decisions. Other people can make different choices.

Thank you, I think she shares your view. I was worried as I had read about mini heart attacks where people don't realise and carry on as normal but it makes them more susceptible. But that is from reading Dr Internet, rather than any experience in real life.
