hasn't been consistently awful - every so often i think he's ok, then he has another awful nappy

seems ok otherwise - drinking fluids and eating (but am still avoiding too much dairy/fruit)

he's 2.1yo btw

sounds like you are doing all the right stuff..if he is full of bounce as normal then i wouldnt be too worried. my ds nearly 3 seems to have times of very runny poo (sorry) though i dont tend to go to the drs much with the children, if you are worried, of course, ring gp see what they say. has he got tummy ache?

IME, GP usually will take a sample of it for testing if he has had diarrhoea for a week or more. Have done this once with my LO and test came back fine.

Tutter are we living is some sort of parallel universe? My DS (of the early waking thread passim) ahs the same problem. I cut out dairy completely and that seems to solve the problem temporarily. Is he teething? I am clutching at straws and hoping a lot of tghis (he is running intermittent temps too) is to do with cutting his back molars?

vv

how very spooky (even more so if i were to tell you my rl name )

teeth may well be a factor here too - i thionk the last two (bottom, at back) may be makin an appearance shortly - he is pretty dribbly and fingers-in-mouth atm

My ds had these nice nappies last week, I took him to GP as it had lasted 5 days and it turned out he had an ear infection, he was also eating and drinking fine.
He had a sore bum as well (first time ever), I think its down to teething.
I would take him to GP's just to make sure, cos once DS got antibiotics the nappy's were fine.
