Hello mums. Just wondered if anyone out there has had an episotomy!? I had my baby a week ago and had to have an episotomy which obviously resulted in stitches. However. One of stitches has come away and has now completely dissolved but I am left with a pea size hole. I have been given antibiotics and painkillers from the doctor but I am really struggling to sot and get up and about easily. Anyone else have this problem and able to give me any hints about easing this and how long does it take to heal.

Has your midwife looked at your wound? They will be so used to episiotomies and how they heal.

Do hve your midwife check your wound. Mine got infected and it was bloody awful. Around four weeks I think to clear and it was a while before i could sit or poop comfortably. Feel your pain, it’s bloody awful xx
