Dizziness!

Can anyone help?
I’ve had a cold threatening for 2 days but have taken echinacea and tried to get lots of sleep as my son was quite poorly (high temps) when he came down with it. I woke up in the night with sinus pain in my teeth - I always get this when I have a cold and am so used to it it’s untrue! However all day I’ve been a tiny bit dizzy and tonight it’s got so much worse. I can hardly stand and even looking at the tv or down at my phone is making me feel dizzy.
I have stemetil tablets from when I was pregnant, will these help? I’m taking one as we speak (buccal)
I’ve tried the epley manoeuvre from google but it hasn’t worked. I feel even worse! Any advice? I don’t feel blocked up, my nose is clear and not runny but I had a bad upset tummy yesterday and the last bout f dizziness I had came after a tummy bug. My ears feel a bit weird.
Please send any advice.. I have a baby and a 4 year old and feel very sorry for myself!!!

Stemetil does help for dizziness. I was prescribed it today for that reason. Hope you feel better soon.

Were you?
Are you taking the tablets that dissolve under your lip, or the ones you just swallow?
How many doses did you need before it worked? I’ve had 1 tablet and it seems marginally better.
I think it’s been triggered by the upset tummy bug I had this week. It always sets me off. I think dr said it was labyrinthitis? Last time.

I have the ones your just swallow. I have had one so far and it hasn't made much (if any) difference yet.

Stemetil will definitely work, it took me two days of taking them to be able to walk/move my head properly!

It sounds like an inner ear condition - also try steaming with Albas oil - that really eased my pain (obviously once you can move your head!)

Hope you feel better soon op Smile

Are you feeling any better @JellycatElfie? I am perhaps slightly. Although I also now have the feeling that my head is floating!

JellycatElfie · 14/02/2019 10:11

Hi - I took another tablet last night and one at 5 this morning. I felt like I was spinning and fell back asleep 630-7 but then had to get up with he baby. I definitely felt better but the more I do, the worse it seems to get. Baby just had a nap and I’ve read a book which I wouldn’t have been able to do last night. I feel rough, and loud noises make my ear feel sensitive (no pain) I also have the floaty feeling - I had to take stemetil whilst pregnant for 6 weeks and hoped I’d never have to touch them again! They make me feel so drugged up Sad

Hoping it’s just a case of riding it out for both of us! Glad you’ve seen some improvement.
