Need advice on spray-on skin healing stuff (like a spray plaster?)

Ok, DS2 has had a sore bottom for over a week, HV said sudocrem, it didn't heal up (he has a bit of broken skin on one buttock)so yesterday another HV said see the Dr., we did, he said, put metanium on it and then a

plaster???

I tried it of course and it was off again within seconds. Also made his skin sore where it was (briefly) stuck.

Rang Dr. today, said it's worse, he said go to the practice nurse and get it dressed. I went to her and she said there's no point as it's going to come straight off.

I'm trying lots of air and no nappy on, which is hard but seems like the only option...any other ideas? It's very near his little bottom hole .

Is there a spray on thing we might try instead of a plaster?

All the spray-ons I've used sting on broken skin so I wouldn't use that, unless it specifically says its non-sting. What about vaseline? I found that v good for my babies sore bottoms.

Leave the nappy off, paint the sore bits with egg white and it will sort of 'seal' it. Repeat as required. This used to be recommended by HVs as a matter of course in the days before salmonella. Officially they are no longer allowed to advise this, but it works!!

Good luck!
