Will you look at my mole?

I know most of you aren't dermatologists... I'm supposed to be having this mole removed within 1 month (GPs advice) but there aren't any appointments available just yet, I have to call back tomorrow.
In the meantime I'm obviously Googling everything to do with Melanoma as you do.
Has anyone had a mole like this that either was or wasn't melanoma? I'd love to hear your stories please

Mine looked like that, and it was as itchy as hell. It was cancerous but it indicates that I am at higher risk for skin cancer than the general population.

Thank you for the reply! Mines not particularly itchy, my daughter was the one who'd noticed it had got bigger.
What treatment did you have?
