For how long is chicken pox contagious in a 2-year-old?

The NHS website says it continues to be contagious for five days after the appearance of the first spot, but different websites say very different things - some say 1-2 weeks! Does anyone have thoughts on this, please?

Until all of the spots are scabbed over and there are no new ones appearing. Once that happens he's not contagious. 5-7 days is about right depending on how severely he was it.

Until all the blisters are scabbed over. It differs in each person.

Until the last spots have scabbed over. Doesn’t matter what age they are

Once scabbed over although I think I've read there is little transmission after 5 days even if not all scabbed. My 2 were back at school with scabs within 1 week. (The incubation period is 10-21 days but they are only contagious for 1-2 days before spots appear and until they scab over)

Thank you, everyone!
