Implant - Heavy Arm

Hi All,

I had the contraceptive implant fitted this morning. No issues, didn't hurt, bandaged up and off I went.

The anaesthetic has worn off and it's a bit sore as expected but - and I'm not sure if this is my imagination - my arm feels heavier? Is this normal?

TIA

It's probably edema from the incision site and I would expect it to resolve over time. As long as you don't have a fever over 101 degrees, redness like sun beams from the implant site and severe pain you'll be alright.
