Bladder not fully emptying / UTI / anxiety questions

I'm waiting for a referral to come through to urology as I've been experiencing issues with urinating, I can normally start weeing ok but my bladder tenses up too soon and cuts off the flow. I seem to have a sort of loss of muscle control. Also flow is often slow. Occasionally I have to sit and concentrate to start weeing. I suspect it is pelvic floor related but not totally sure. However I now have a uti and am using d mannose to try and get rid of it before seeing the Dr tomorrow. Has anyone suffered with the two issues together? I'm worried the retention will make it more difficult to get rid of.
My problems started shorty after I had my dd2, because of the catheter I got a nasty uti that was resistant to multiple antibiotics and I had to have iv antibiotics. It was grim and scary and I struggle with anxiety because of it to this day. I spent all last night having an anxiety attack and have just about calmed down this morning.
I suspect the anxiety will not help the bladder tension either Sad
Has anyone successfully cured their water retention? If so how? I'm keen to get it sorted as it's affecting me so much. Thanks in advance.
