Two periods in a row?

Hi all,

I'm just looking to find out if anyone else has experienced this or might know why it's happening before I go to the docs!

So I'm 29 years old, TTC and have had very irregular periods for the last year, so irregular that I didn't have any for the past 6 months. However, at the start of Jan I started bleeding very lightly, which continued until 15th Jan when I got a very heavy period. This lasted until about the 24th Jan when the bleeding lightened again but didn't stop. Then from 28th Jan it's started getting heavier again and doesn't seem to be slowing down.

I was trying not to worry too much but I'm starting to get concerned. Has anyone had anything like this before?

Thanks in advance for any help! x

Hey, I'm new here only just seen this. Did you get sorted out?? I'm having trouble myself with periods. Just started my second one this month. I'm bricking it waiting for phonecall Back from doctors xx

Hi Keeley1980, how did you get on when your doc phoned back? I was given hormone tablets from my doc to stop the bleeding, however we've also been referred to our fertility clinic who don't want me on them. So the bleeding has continued, I think they're hoping it'll regulate itself, not super enjoyable in the meantime though as that's a full two months now!
Try not to stress about it though as that can make it worse. Easier said than done I know, but there's so many possible reasons for it and plenty that can be done to help.

OP have they done a pelvic ultrasound on you?

TheVanguardSix · 01/03/2019 07:15

They need to rule out fibroids.

Cammie89 · 01/03/2019 08:08

TheVanguardSix yes they've done blood tests and a pelvic ultrasound. Ultrasound was totally fine but my progesterone levels are low which can cause continual bleeding. I think they're hoping my body is trying to get itself back to normal so just want to leave it for now. I'm taking all sort of vitamins etc to try and help!
Keeley1980 I hope you get the answers and help you need today, I know how worrying it can be. Let us know how you get on. ☺️
