Freaking out......help

Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has had a numb chin.....I’ve had it since yesterday and all I can find on the internet is all horrific, just wondering if anyone else had had this and what the outcome was.

Presuming you've not had a recent biffing. Or dental work.

Make an appointment with your GP or call the NHS number - however I had a numb lip when I started using Garnier face cream (the one in the red pot). Have you changed what you put on your face?

I did use a seeweed peel off mask but it’s been like it for 2 days and I used the face mask a few days before.....but I thank you for taking the time to reply, really appreciate it x did your numb lip last long? X

Went to gp and they are seeing me again in a week if no improvement possible MRI as apparently chin numbness can be a serious underlying issue 🥺 x

I have been having this on and off for weeks now, along with a twitch on my upper lip, headaches, flashing lights and dizziness. GP thinks it's caused by a combination of a nerve in my neck and my extremely low blood pressure but is doing bloods and probably referring me for MRI as symptoms I had a couple of years ago prompted my consultant to consider the possibility of an acoustic neuroma, which may still be the case. I chickened out of having the MRI before but have since discovered diazepam!

Is your numbness constant or spreading?

I just Googled and read the links you have probably looked at and am similarly concerned now!

Sorry you’re going through it.....mines been constant for a few days now just numbness in my chin and some tingling in my tongue. No headaches or any real other symptoms. Went back to the Gp today and he said he was concerned but he hasn’t come across it in practice so will discuss with team and call me back this afternoon.
Obviously no one can diagnose anything here but have you ever suffered with migraines they can present with flashing lights, numbness and tingling sometimes followed with a headache? X

Could it be bells palsy ?

Yes, I have always had migraines but they changed at the same time as the other symptoms arrived, hence my concern. The numbness and dizziness occur outside of headache times too.

If there's a pinched nerve in my neck or neuroma then either of them could also explain my new symptoms.

Did your GP call back yesterday?I hope you get some insight from them soon.

I would skip GP and go to A&E. These are neurological symptoms and could be several things.

Sounds odd, I have a numb chin/lip due to surgery years ago but if it just came on id be seeing help of some sort! Hope things are ok
