dp mum just admitted to hosp what the hell is wrong?

i know we will have answers soon but am really worried

she beat breast cancer 2 years ago

and for the last 3-4 weeks has been really weak not eating dizzy
seen by doctor and hospital a couple of weeks ago doc gave her tablets and some sort of energy drinks
which made no difference
was given all clear in her cancer check up last week

but has gotten so bad that she couldnt get out of bed she couldnt move her legs
and has lots weight which she doesnt have a lot anyway
and became delirious and hallucinating
sorry its long had to speak to someone as dp is blocking it out.

I wonder if shes had a minor Stroke?

It sounds just like how dh's grandparents were when they had one.

Could be totally wrong though.

dp brothers partner is medically trained and thats what she said

its horrible not knowing and seeing someone be ill.

Hopefully you'll get some answers today and they'll start treating her.

Diabetes?

The weight loss and confusion, being dizzy and weak could all be symptoms of that.

It may not be as awful as you think. Fingers crossed for you all.x

was told she was being admitted hour ago and just found put shes still at home

if she got the all clear last week i would be hopeful it's nothing to do with the cancer. Why is she still at home in that state ?

lilyloo thats whats making us all madshe has progressively got worse this week being the worst
hospital told her to go on the holiday she had planned last week as it would make her feel better she said she slept for most of it
thing is she is a very independant/stubborn woman likes to make you feel shes ok
and the doctor had arranged to come and see her today
i suppose we all thought she would get better

How is she ?

not great
admitted to a&e majors where bloods were taken and then 4 hours later a doctor saw her and said she had water infection and dehydrated
found out she also had quite a few falls
she was trying to hide from everyone
now she has been in hosp 4 days looking and sounding terrible had drip administered
and now they think that she may have cancer of the bone and brain but brain scan was clear so just waiting to see about scan results doctor said she had a very high level of calcuim in her bones which could mean cancer
absolutley terrible thanks for asking feel better for getting it all out
