2 Nodules on Thyriod

I have been for a scan on my thyroid gland as I had a lump on my left side. The radiographer told me I have 2 nodules on my thyroid, 1 on the left and a small one in the front. My thyroid function is fine. Does anybody have any experience of this? I have to wait a week to see my GP!

Apparently they are quite common and "nothing to worry about" in most cases.
