Shingles

Has anyone had experiences of shingles with little to no rash but that causes a extremely sore back & underarm/ chest pains (sharp tingly feelings)? I've been told I may have it & prescribed antivirals but I'm not sure if these symptoms are usual!

I had the most awful headache, nausea and generally pains in my neck and upper back for 2 weeks, then just as I was feeling well enough to go back to work a rash came up along my back roughly in line with the bra strap.
It was only 8-10 largish spots that felt like a sting rather than itchy.
The doctors I'd seen hadn't a clue what it was until the rash appeared, just going down the route of a bad migraine attack.
