hand, foot and mouth virus!

forevermore · 30/06/2007 13:32

It's a highly contagous virous, that lots of children get. My DS was not under the weather with it, but there was a recent thread where someones LO was poorly.

the spots started in the nappy area though, could this still be it. she is not unwell in her self!

think its definetly hand foot and mouth disease. she is dribbling and mouth is sore.

how long do symptoms last

not very long, a few days. Painful especially at night, so give calpol/bonjela.

belgo · 01/07/2007 10:42

my dd eat lots of ice cream when she had this.

forevermore · 01/07/2007 12:57

dd'd childminder has recently got chickens could she have caught it from them?

OP posts:

no. it's not from animals. It's from other humanchildren and a perfectly normal part of childhood.
