Painful hips, shoulder, neck...Im falling apart

Im 50, menopausal, used to be active - running, climbing, yoga - but less so now due to aches and pains Sad

Have had neck pain for 10 years, been told its stress related. Now also got hip pain and shoulder pain. Bad enough to wake me up in the night. Physios/chiros suggest rotator cuff, piriformis, but the suggested strtches aren't doing much. Painkillers dont touch it.

Strangely whilst I feel stiff and sore, my range of movement is pretty good so Im clearly not as stiff as I feel. So why do I hurt? I dont know who to turn to for advice. It's really getting me down being in pain all the time.

Have you got the money to see a private menopause specialist. They will give you a full assessment and advice going forward but it will cost about £250.

That's what I plan to do anyway. GP's don't really have much training in this area now so its difficult to know where to turn.

I've just started (last week) trying the Wim Hof method. My back pain and stiff shoulders/arms are already showing improvement. If you look him up on YouTube there are interviews with him, stuff about scientific theory about how it may work, guided breathing tutorials and testimonials. It is said to reduce inflammation, improve the immune system and make the body more alkaline.
