Because my DD was discharged from hospital in one today and I have no idea how I am going to change her nappies/dress her properly/transport her/generally keep sane for the next 8 - 10 weeks. Any advice or suppotr from anyone who has experienced this will be so gratefully received you wouldn't believe it!

TIA

At the top of the page just under mumsnet there is a search button.

Click it and type in Hip Spica {note it is spelt with a C not a K }and it will lead you to previous threads about them.

First i hope that your dd is oK. Poor thing being in that over the summer. How old is she?

I am amazed that the hospital did not advise you about how to care for your dd!

Maybe this will help

and this

thanks for that. I also thought spica was spelt with a "c" but the hospital said no it's a "k"!

My DD is nearly three and has gone from running and jumping about to more-or-less a newborn again. Still, we'll manage!!
