Home HPV test

Anyone tried one and can tell me is it easy to use? I'm due for a smear which I cannot tolerate, the last one I had I was able to have under general anaesthetic whilst undergoing a test for something else. I understand that the HPV test is an alternative which can be done at home.

Not heard of the HPV home test but have you considered what you would do in the not-unlikely scenario that it is positive? You will need a smear anyway.

Is there a reason you can't have a smear? Would counselling help?

I always had my smear tests until the time I ended up out cold and had to be resuscitated. I've tried since and taken diazepam, but just can't do it.
