Why does my eye ache?

Started last night while having a few drinks. It seems like it is my eyeball that hurts. Don't have a cold or anything, at least not so far.

It could be sinus related. If it doesn't clear up very soon I think you should see your gp or an ophthalmologist.

Not wanting to cause any undue worry, but my first thought was possible glaucoma. Are you over 40 OP? Unlikely if you are younger than that but Ithink you should get it checked out to be on the safe side.

It could be anything OP, there are over 1,000 conditions could potentially affect the eye, although the most likely cause is dryness or a small scratch (it is exceptionally unlikely to be one of the other conditions above).
If its still sore today, go and have an eye test.
