Does back pain radiate to front?

I know that the reverse is true but I'm wondering if pain in the upper back can radiate to the front? I've had the most horrific, burning stabbing pain which just came on suddenly this morning as I was talking to my dd. It felt like it was my stomach but then it seems to be between my shoulder blades and radiating to both sides of my stomach but also in my front if that even makes sense. It's hard to tell exactly where the pain is emanating from. It's also hard to take a deep breath as it hurts so much! It reminds me of the back spasm I had a few years back, but that was in my lower back when I literally couldn't move. I don't have any other symptoms, so I'm right to assume it's my back causing trouble? Does anyone have any advice? I've taken some paracetamol and have a hot water bottle, but wondering if there is anything else I can do? Thanks for reading.
