Strange pain in shoulder blade?

For about 2 months I’ve had pain around my left shoulder blade. It’s a constant deep, burning type pain but also the skin around the area where it’s painful is very sore, like sunburn.
The doctor has given me amitriptyline which hasn’t really helped and I’m starting to worry.
Has anyone had anything similar and found out the cause?

Shoulder blade pain is often referred pain such as from gallbladder, ovaries etc. I would go back and ask for more checks.

@perfectlyimperfect11 i know this is an old post but did you ever find out what this was? I am experiencing the exact same thing and have been for a month now

Not OP but I had this and it was gastritis
