Yes this happened to me too. I think it's quite common.

I found it better to try to take the doses as early as possible in the day. E.g. if 3 x a day I took them at 7 am, 11 am and 4pm. Not sure if that's advisable but maybe check with gp/ pharmacist?

Steroids should be taken once a day, early in the morning.

When are you taking them?

They can cause mood disturbances.

I had no problems, also had a 7 day course

When and how you should take them completely depends on why you’re taking them. For example, for asthma you should take them all in one go early in the morning. For Addison’s disease you take them split up throughout the day - Addison’s disease means you take them everyday, for the rest of your life. I have asthma and Addison’s disease so I know a bit about both! It’s difficult balancing both conditions.

Pred can make you feel jittery and anxious. It’s quite a common side effect. The benefits of taking it do outweigh that though. I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for your replies. I have been taking them all at once (6) in the morning with food as described. I have a chest infection that seems to be lingering for ages but my airways are open now so I have stopped taking them the course was 7 days and I did 5. Still taking antibiotics for 2 more days. I really can't cope with the mood disturbances and feeling high along with anxiety. I phoned the chemist for advice who said it was safe to stop taking them but he did say to ring 111 to make sure. I didn't do that, I've just stopped. Thanks again for replies, hopefully I'll be feeling back to normal soon x
